Classroom Rules

My classroom rules are clear and consistent;  respect yourself, respect others, and respect school property.

Respect Yourself - Do your best always.  Homework needs to be turned in completed, on time, and done neatly and to the best of your abilities.  Believe in yourself and know you are important.  Use appropriate language and dress in a respectful manner.

Respect Others - Keep your hands/feet to yourself.  Treat your peers' property as if it were your own.  Absolutely no put downs of your peers.

Respect School Property - School property (books, desks, lockers, etc.) must be taken care of.  Defacing of any property is not acceptable.  Use equipment in proper manner following school guidelines.

If classroom rules are not followed, I will use my discretion as to the level of consequences administered.  Consequences can be, but not limited to the following (and not necessarily in  this order):

  • verbal warning
  • writing on respectful behavior vs. disrespectful behavior
  • behavior posted in PowerSchool
  • referral and/or removal from classroom to the office
  • parent/guardian meeting
  • detention
